I love this quote from Casanova. It describes well how it is critical that you give the right amount in the right way to a patient. It also makes me think of cancer therapies where we try to kill specific cells of a patient without hurting the patient too much. It is a balance. This quote describes the balance and does so over 200 years ago. Beautiful.
