RULES
This Series will be governed by rules as defined in
The Racing Rules of Sailing
(RRS), the
prescriptions of U.S. Sailing and the class rules of the Ideal 18 except
where modified or amended by
these Sailing Instruction

ENTRIES
On any race day, competitors enter by sailing to the starting area, announcing the name of the skipper,

The starting and finishing line shall be between a flag on the RC signal

otherwise announced, or the course is shortened. The Start / Finish line is open and may be
disregarded when not starting or finishing.
STARTING
PROCEDURES
A three minute countdown sequence shall be used as per RRS Appendix U.
The RC will attempt to hail
vessel
grounds
for redress. An Individual Recall will be signaled by one sound from the RC
vessel

general recall will be signaled by two sounds from the RC signal

COURSE AND
MARKS
The course MWL, WL or T will be displayed or hailed before the warning signal of each race.

Course Diagrams below show the courses,
course names, the turning marks in order and the rounding
direction of each mark. As a general guideline, leave turning marks to port. Turning marks will be
inflatable buoys.
